Borgore

To most of you, I bet the name Borgore sounds at least familiar. Four years ago he released a song called „Decisions” with Miley Cyrus back when she shocked the world with her new -tongue out- look. This year, the DJ from Tel Aviv will join Untold festival next week. I asked him a few questions on Snapchat and here’s what I found out. You’re welcome.

RO: Pentru majoritatea dintre voi, pun pariu ca numele Borgore suna cel putin familiar. Acum patru ani a scos o melodie pe nume „Decisions” cu Miley Cyrus cand a socat lumea cu noul ei look -limba scoasa-. Anul asta, DJ-ul din Tel Aviv vine la festivalul Untold de saptamana viitoare. I-am pus cateva intrebari pe Snapchat si urmeaza ce am aflat. Cu placere.

InLiceu: For the people who don’t know you, who is Borgore?

B: Music producer with hella weird social media.

RO: InLiceu: Pentru cei care nu te cunosc, cine este Borgore?

B: Un producator de muzica, care are conturi de social media al naibii de ciudate.

InLiceu: How and when did you start getting more interested in music and the music industry?

B: I studied music since I remember myself. I could read notes before I could read.

RO: InLiceu: Cand si cum ai inceput sa fii mai interesat de muzica si industria muzicala?

B: Am studiat muzica de cand ma stiu. Puteam sa citesc notele muzicale inainte sa citesc.

InLiceu: Who was your inspiration when you started and how has that changed?

B: I had so many different inspirations in different genres and arts, so I can’t pick just one.

RO: InLiceu: Cine a fost inspiratia ta cand ai inceput si cum s-a schimbat asta?

B: Am avut atat de multe inspiratii in genuri si arte diferite, asa ca nu pot sa aleg doar una.

InLiceu: How would you describe your music style?

B: My music is very eclectic but I’m mostly known for making agressive music with weird sounds.

RO: InLiceu: Cum ti-ai descrie stilul muzical?

B: Muzica mea e foarte eclectica, dar sunt cunoscut cel mai mult pentru muzica agresiva cu sunete ciudate.

InLiceu: Which was the first concert you ever went to?

B: I have seen the philharmonic a bunch of times as a kid. Sometimes loved it, sometimes hated it.

RO: InLiceu: Care a fost primul concert la care ai mers vreodata?

B: Am vazut filarmonica de multe ori cand eram copil. Cateodata imi placea mult, alteori deloc.

InLiceu: Your song „Decisions” featuring Miley Cyrus had a huge success. How has fame changed you and what was it like working with Miley?

B: I don’t feel famous. Miley is hella fun to work with, she’s a really cool chick.

RO: InLiceu: Melodia ta cu Miley Cyrus, „Decisions”, a avut un succes imens. Cum te-a schimbat faima si cum a fost sa lucrezi cu Miley?

B: Nu ma simt faimos. E al naibii de distractiv sa lucrezi cu Miley, e o tipa foarte cool.

InLiceu: Describe a day in your life.

B: I go to the studio, I sleep and I take pics with some butts.

RO: InLiceu: Descrie o zi din viata ta.

B: Merg la studio, dorm si fac poze cu niste funduri.

InLiceu: How do you feel about coming to Untold next week?

B: I’m really excited to come back to Romania. I used to play there all the time in the beginning of my career and I haven’t in a while. I miss it.

RO: InLiceu: Cum te simti ca o sa vii la Untold saptamana viitoare?

B: Sunt foarte entuziasmat sa ma intorc in Romania. Obisnuiam sa cant mereu aici la inceputul carierei si n-am facut asta de ceva vreme. Mi-e dor.

InLiceu: How cool! When did you first come to Romania and what was your first impression of it?

B: Romania was one of the first places in the world that wanted me to come for a show. I wasn’t sure how the whole thing worked so I suggested my partner back in the day to go instead. So he played a show there, he told me it’s amazing and the next time I got invited I took the offer straight away and fell in love with Romania. Amazing people.

RO: InLiceu: Ce cool! Cand ai venit pentru prima data in Romania si care a fost prima ta impresie?

B: Romania a fost unul dintre primele locuri din lume care a vrut sa vin pentru un spectacol. Nu eram sigur cum merge treaba, asa ca l-am sugerat pe partenerul meu de atunci sa mearga in locul meu. Asa ca s-a dus, mi-a spus ca e uimitor si urmatoarea data cand am primit o oferta, am acceptat pe loc si m-am indragostit de Romania. Oameni minunati.

InLiceu: How was high school for you?

B: My high school was a private arts school and everything was super competitive, so it was kind of hard sometimes.

RO: InLiceu: Cum a fost liceul pentru tine?

B: Liceul meu a fost o scoala privata de arte si era totul foarte competitiv, asa ca mi-a fost destul de greu cateodata.

InLiceu: A message for your fans in Romania?

B: Love you guys, can’t wait for next week!

RO: InLiceu: Un mesaj pentru fanii tai din Romania?

B: Va iubesc, abia astept saptamana viitoare!
